ZIMMERMANN Celebrates St Barth Store Opening
The luxury womenswear brand is bringing its signature styles to St Barth in a new boutique that is as beautifully designed as its pieces.
The now ever popular, ultra chic brand began when Nicky and Simone Zimmermann founded the Australian label in 1991. Over the years the brand's pieces evolved to incorporate swimwear and resort wear among its classic sophisticated feminine silhouettes, making it an elegant staple for those of us looking for chic clothing in warmer climates. It's clear that Zimmermann, and its clientele, fit right in St Barth. The brand is celebrating a long awaited storefront opening on the Caribbean island, offering beautiful new styles in an idyllic tropical destination.
The space itself is an extension of the beauty of Zimmermann and St Barth. Located in the heart of the island in an original two story timber and stone building, the boutique captures the effortless essence of the island that’s so synonymous with the Zimmerman lifestyle. Having been specially designed with details of the island’s unique history in mind, a blend of French and Swedish influences can be seen all over. Touches like a rare 1940’s French abstract painting, and a Swedish Kurbit folk art inspired curtain bring the surrounding history into the store. Bespoke furniture, and a blend of vintage and modern pieces accent the stunning new interior. With a warm color palette of olive greens and rich oak woods this space is inviting and casual to suit the spirit of the island and the Zimmermann brand. And, as a nod to its roots, paintings by Australian painters Emily Ferretti, Stephen Bird, and Natalie Bloom adorn the walls.
This opening marks a new chapter for the Zimmermann brand and an extension of its relaxed, creative ethos. Nicky Zimmermann, Co-Founder & Creative Director, explained; “The opening of our St Barth boutique marks a milestone for our brand as we continue to expand our footprint into iconic destinations worldwide. We’re always looking to resonate the ZIMMERMANN mood and feel through our store design, whilst paying homage to the surrounds – St Barth offers a perfectly unique shopping experience that captures the vibrant essence of the Caribbean lifestyle. St Barth has been on the cards for a while, and we are really excited to finally have a store on the island.”
The St Barth boutique will open with the Spring RTW 2024 collection, which was presented at Paris Fashion Week, and the brand’s new campaign featuring Barbara Valente available to shop in store.
