D'Puglia

The Puglia region and the picturesque town of Lecce are hosting the new D'PUGLIA cultural festival, which aims to forge the region's heritage and design its future for an international audience, with the participation of curators, artists, and projects focused on a passion for ecology.

Through captivating events, annual showcases, impactful galas, and artistic exchanges, D'PUGLIA promotes a culture of innovation and preservation. Its program highlights Apulia's commitment to artistic excellence and sustainable practices. ‘V’a 'dove ti porta il vento’ embodies the essence of the Puglian lifestyle: embracing the unknown, savoring each moment, and going where the wind takes you.

The nomadic exhibition Flags For Future flutters in the skies of Lecce to raise awareness about environmental and ocean protection. Flags For Future by UTOPIA and Istanbul 74 reinvent the concept of shared values, inspired by the unifying power of art. These artist-designed flags, produced in limited editions, are made from recycled ocean plastic waste. Proceeds from Flags for Future are dedicated to environmental protection efforts. The art exhibition and installation projects for D'PUGLIA are supported by the Cultural Cooperative of Lecce ARTWORK and are designed by renowned artists, including Renzo Buttazzo, Antonio Aricò, Diego Cibelli, Cosma Frascina, Alessandra d’Urso, Alekos Fassianos, Aaron Young, André Saraiva, Tony Caramanico, Jean-Charles De Castelbajac, Jeppe Hein, Julio Le Parc, Lola Montes Schnabel, Rachel Hayes, Robert Montgomery, Paul Sevigny, Charlotte Colbert, Krista Kim, Blomour with Plant Passenger, and Tatiana Gecmen Waldeck.

Founder Gordana 'Zgonjanin shares her love for Puglia with a creative, disruptive, and multidisciplinary approach. The initiative serves as a gateway to cultural enrichment and international development. The D'PUGLIA art and design festival seamlessly integrates the strength of Sparta, the grace of Helen, the boldness of Byzantium, the sensuality of the Romans, and the magic of the Alchemists.

D'Puglia

In the heart of Italy, Puglia is not just to be admired; it is to be actively experienced. Its landscape, filled with stories of resilience, strength, and love, reflects its personality. Apulia's ancient olive groves, enduring through good times and bad, symbolize their perseverance and timeless love. D'PUGLIA is dedicated to raising awareness through its philanthropic program in collaboration with Save the Olives, organizing international charity events to support the association's mission.

Save The Olives ONLUS, led by Patrizio Ziggiotti, is a non-profit organization made up of volunteers fighting the Xylella Fastidiosa epidemic in Puglia, southern Italy. Detached from politics, far from controversies, and indifferent to conspiracy theories, it acts together in a millennial landscape, trying to concentrate the forces of interested parties to educate and raise awareness among the inhabitants of the affected area. Save the Olives brings together agronomists, farmers, artists, engineers, students, entrepreneurs, and researchers, but above all, they are great defenders of their land who believe in a sustainable future for olive cultivation. Passion runs deep in the veins of Apulia, like the "tratturi" - the shepherds' paths - that stretch from the Murgia to the seas. Their spirit and soul overflow with wisdom, akin to that of a shepherd who understands the essence of each of us, if only we take a moment to listen. Let us remember that Apulia is not just a place to visit, but a place to live, love, and deeply cultivate. D'PUGLIA aims to showcase the richness and beauty of the region's craftsmanship and design to an international audience. D'PUGLIA and Flags For Future will be present at the next edition of Art Basel Miami Beach in December 2024, at the Standard Hotel.
