FISCH launches a collection inspired by&nbsp;the Swedish architecture and heritage of Gustavia in St Barth&nbsp;

The sustainable swimwear label Fisch's new collection introduces a new family design - the Gustavia Toile print, inspired by the old houses of St Barth.
Gustavia used to have several historical buildings but property owners didn&rsquo;t find the square footage profitable enough and many buildings have been purposely neglected into decay to be demolished by real estate developers. Fischer created the Gustavia print, to honor the history of St Barth through illustrations of some of the last standing landmarks built by Swedish settlers such as the Wall House Museum, The Anglican Church, The Clocktower, and Le Brigantin (Maison Dinzey) - formerly the Swedish Consulate - where Fischer and her family resided for 10 years in the 1990s.
&ldquo;We wanted to make a print that felt important. I love the old architecture of the island and I think it&rsquo;s paramount to preserve the heritage for future generations. I commissioned the drawings of these particular buildings from my older brother PJ who is an illustrator and a ceramic artist. It was the first time we professionally collaborated. Our beloved father, Tomas, who is the reason we were brought up on the island, passed away 10 days before we received the trial swatches. For 30 years he was a patron of the island and the Gustavia Toile print is dedicated to him. It is a true family design. I hope people love it as much as we do&rdquo;. - Agnes Fischer
