At 25, Achraf Hakimi, PSG&rsquo;s new sensation and the figurehead of the Moroccan team, embodies youth, strength, and style.

Making history as the leader of the first African Team in the World Cup semi-finals in 2022, he seamlessly balances his on-field prowess with a passion for fashion. Beyond the game, Achraf&rsquo;s sartorial flair positions him as a prime contender for the coveted role of a fashion icon, a testament to a career meticulously orchestrated by his inner circle. Celebrated both on the pitch and by renowned designers, Hakimi is the epitome of a skillful athlete and a style aficionado. We sat down with Hakimi to discuss his style, inspirations, and his charitable foundation.&nbsp;

JENNY MANNERHEIM: How do you think your personal style influences your performance on the football field?
ACHRAF HAKIMI: I think it influences my performance a lot, because I try to have a different style on and off the field and I think it's important to use your style to reflect the personality that you have.&nbsp;
JM: Can you share a favorite fashion piece that holds special meaning to you and why?&nbsp;
AH: A Cartier ring that my mother gave me, she gave it to me as a special gift when I turned 18 and I really want to keep it for the rest of my life.
JM: In the world of football, how important do you believe personal style and image are for players today?
&nbsp;AH: I think it's important to have a style and an appearance, not only for players, but for everyone, because it reflects your personality, how you like to dress and how you want to be seen. I think it's important to have a good look and leave a good impression.
JM: Are there any specific fashion trends or styles that you feel resonate well with the football community?
AH: The truth is that I wouldn't know what kind of trends suit a footballer because I think everyone has a different world, a different personality, so I think everyone tries to go with their own style.

JM: Can you recall a moment where you felt your fashion choices garnered attention, how did you handle the spotlight?
AH: I think so, this summer I tried to change my style a bit more, a bit more daring, a bit more colorful, and I think it was reflected on my social media. I also felt good with that new style and I like to keep trying different things.
JM: Are there any fashion designers or brands that you admire and draw inspiration from?
&nbsp;AH: Let's see, I like many designers, for example I like Rhuigi with Rhude, I like Simon Jacquemus, they both have something that I like, but there are also fashion brands that are interesting for me, like Andersson Bell or Marni. I like them a lot.
JM: How do you approach choosing your outfits, and do you have any pre-game rituals related to your style?
AH: The truth is that for the games we usually go the same with the club gear, but if we talk about how I choose my outfits in general, it also depends on the moment, where I go, if I go alone or with friends. I also have a friend who is a designer and stylist, we try to help each other as we try to make me feel good in my clothes. 
&nbsp;JM: In your opinion, how has the intersection of fashion and football evolved over the years?
AH: I think it has evolved a lot, especially in recent years where we have seen many teams collaborate with fashion brands. The truth is that it is a pleasure to be able to enjoy this world and combine these two fields because the reality is that many football players like fashion and it is important that this can also be reflected in the clubs.

JM: You are involved in a lot of charity activations and you have your own foundation, the Achraf Hakimi Foundation, to support children through education, sport, and helping them believe in themselves. Can you tell us about your foundation and its fundamental work?
AH: It is a project that I have been thinking about for a long time. This foundation consists in helping young disadvantaged children to have a better life. To do this we will focus on study and sport and we are already collaborating with various associations to provide the best tools. We will also try to teach these young minds the culture of effort and self-improvement so that they can achieve what they want to achieve in the future through their own means. We have to help them to believe in themselves and in their ambitions and we, as a team, work everyday to make it possible.
JM: What's your upcoming projects for the Achraf Hakimi Foundation? How can people get involved?
AH: My only message to the children is that they should be themselves, that they should fight for what they want, that nobody should tell them that they can't achieve anything. With effort and sacrifice, and just by being themselves, they can become who they want to be.
